Noah

So, this Sunday I was teaching the children about the ancient prophets who had predicted the coming and birth of Jesus Christ...Well, one of those prophets was Noah. After we finished talking about what he had prophesied, my Noah leans back in his chair and sighs, then says, "Yeah, I'm retired now!"
Even the adults were laughing...

It reminds me of Jared's baptism...His dad was getting up to talk about baptism, and mentioned that Jared had him doing double duty today...Jared yells out BOOYA! We couldn't help it the whole room was laughing!

Where did we get these funny kids???

Hannah Loses her First Tooth!

Late Sunday evening she asked me to wiggle her loose tooth...So, being obedient and all, I did. Her tooth popped right out! She was thrilled and amazed!

Sam is pretty sure the tooth fairy brought him $38.00 for his first tooth...(I wonder where he lived then??? because no tooth fairy in this house has ever given out that much money...:) ha ha ha

She was super excited and went to bed with a big toothless grin on her face!

(sorry about the bad picture quality but, her expression..the joy...is so cute!)

Fall Leaves

They raked the leaves into a huge pile (several piles actually)...they then proceeded to jump into their piles and bury each other. They were having so much fun.

Of course, Jenna must always be decked out in her princess attire...with tap shoes. (It really wasn't cold that day) They played for hours...

Happy Fall! It is a beautiful time of year! I just adore these little kiddos.

Halloween Outtakes!

WARNING: The following post is heavily laced with sarcasm...if you are easily offended you may want to read someone else's blog. What the???.....Wow...Yup, we're weird. Starting with that one!

Is that my kid? For real? No way.... Makes a mother proud. Doesn't he look smart?
WooHoo witchy woman....and she was/is too! ha ha
The orthodontist is gonna LOVE this kid!
Seriously, this is why we don't let our kids wear makeup...can you say JonBenet?

Its Time!!!

Happy Halloween!

We had Hannah-a witch,
Jenna-a princess,
Isaac-a skeleton,
Sam-the grim reaper,
and Noah-a zombie.

I think their costumes are sort of telling of their personalities...j/k. :)

I also have to cross off one of those things that I swore I'd never do as a parent! You know when you see other peoples kids and you tell yourself...I will never let my kids do that!!! Well, one of mine was letting my child tear up clothing and cover himself with paint to look like the undead. EEEWWWW!!! Well, he took a shower and all is well. Life goes on, right?!

We spent the rest of the night in Hamilton at mom and dads house. We ate some yummy chili and snacked on all the junk food our stomachs could handle. The treats we made were so cute. The weather was perfect, and the trick or treating was great! I know the kids had a blast. Oh Happy Day!

Trick or treating at our neighbors house! They adore our kids and had special treat bags made for them. They are so sweet. Happy Halloween.!!!

Halloween Parade!

By this time, Jenna changed her mind and decided to be a princess. So, we joined Mom, Al, Sarah, Ella and Jason for the kids costume parade in Hamilton. That was fun!

This is the boyhood home of "JC Penney". Aren't the trees beautiful??!

That is just fine with me!

They read some stories, did a cute craft and had some snacks. Fun was had by all! It was a great way to start our day of parties!!

SAM

Yup...its true...my baby has been passing the sacrament!
Its so crazy that he is old enough to do that! He does a good job.

He is old enough to do some man chores around the house too! WOW!!

Apparently the young women at church kind of LIKE him! ha ha ha! Its a bit much for this mom to take! I can remember being a young girl and watching the young men pass the sacrament and thinking, "hmmm, I could marry him...or, " he's really cute...I wonder what our kids would look like..." (Of course, I am hoping that I was a VERY WEIRD KID. and that no other girls are like me.) Yikes, I can't stand the thought that other young girls may be having those thoughts about my baby who still needs his mom to remind him to brush his teeth and wear deodorant! Sometimes it feels like life is on hyper speed mode or fast forward. anyone else feel that way? They grow up way too fast. (I think I've said that before...)

Sugar Hi!!!

Hannah and I went to her school Monday night for her kindergarten gingerbread house activity. It was so much fun for both of us. I love spending one on one time with her. She is hilarious and sweet. She just eats up life! She is so happy! I love her so much. Lately she's been singing Christmas songs, at the top of her lungs, everywhere we go....and my personal favorite is Rudolph the "Nose Red" Reindeer....she is so funny...I'll say, "Hannah, its RED NOSED REINDEER, and she'll say OH, RED NOSE REINDEER!!! Then she'll sing RUDOLPH THE NOSE RED REINDEER, HAD A VERY SHINY NOSE, LIKE A LIGHT BULB!! I just love this kid!! She also sings primary songs with her own words....She sings I LOVE TO SEE THE TEMPLE, IN A VERY SUNNY WAY... She is just too cute!

The Skate Park

A few weeks ago, Jake invited the boys to go to the skate park in Excelsior Springs. So, we all jumped in the car and drove...The kids had so much fun skating, and I was impressed by how nice the other boys were to my kids (who don't skate that well). They were all trying to teach them easy ways to skate and show them how to do tricks...It was really nice to see and I know my kids loved it! Thanks Jake! What a blast!

Favorites, funniest, scariest, you name it.....lets hear it! okay, I'll start...Remember when Darrell dressed up as Kermit the Frog? I thought that was the coolest costume EVER!!!!, how about when we worked all week to make the carnival in our backyard...that was awesome...remember David Durtschi wearing the real pumpkin on his head?? Hilarious!!! I still have fond memories of our amazing ballerina costumes...feather boas and all! Come on mom, make me a new one! Our Halloweens have always been so much fun! I have especially loved the last few years when we choose a theme...it is so much fun to gather all the stuff, and decorate the house!!! The kids (and the adults) are already planning next years Halloween party! Enjoy these next few pics...it was all I could find!

Lets go way on back.....

All of my friends thought I was Jeremy Baird...a boy we didn't like...who wasn't cute....ugh..it was so embarrassing...I guess I'll save all my other pics of myself dressed as a male for another post....hey...so, that's whats wrong with me!!!!
